Hello, again, from Sangi-Land. It's time for the News at Night.

This month has gone pretty fast. I got a fair amount done on my site,
but not as much as I'd have liked. I'm still stalled on the e-Group
Listing page and the Real Vampire Directory, but I WILL eventually get
them up and running and/or updated again. My apologies for having it
take so long. I can only do so much at a time and my plate is pretty
full as usual. If you sent me an email anytime within the last year
or so, you might need to wait a little longer (seriously). I may not
be able to answer personally, but I do my best to address questions
with information on my site.

On a personal note, I just got a new chair! Well, new for me, anyway.
It's used. It's dark red velvet and dark wood and just looked
totally "Sangi". It only cost me $20.00 so it's a sweet bargain. I
know you probably couldn't care less but I'm happy about it so you get
to hear about it. *smile*

Blood boiling over graphic 'vamp' poster

SALEM — This past weekend, posters of a sultry, blood-covered woman
with vampire fangs began appearing on the sides of Salem buildings and
midway up utility poles. It didn't take long for the complaints to
pile up.

City Hall received a half-dozen calls, the police were called at least
once, and Deborah Greel, program director of Salem Main Streets, said
she heard from a business owner who thought the poster depicted
violence against women.

"She was very uncomfortable with the blood," Greel said.

The posters promote an October vampire ball at The Lyceum Bar & Grill,
which is being hosted by two Salem witches, Christian Day and Shawn
Poirier, as part of their Festival of the Dead.

But even the store selling tickets for the vampire ball doesn't want
to display the poster.

"We will not have them inside the store because we don't like them,
and that is our choice," said Teri Kalgren, a part-owner of The Broom
Closet on Central Street. "The Festival of the Dead is doing their own
publicity."

Tot snatch was rescue mission, vegan dad tells News

"The toddler taken into hiding by his hard-core vegan father was back
in safe hands yesterday, as his fugitive dad pleaded for understanding
in a call to the Daily News.

"Fourteen-month-old Andrey Spindell, grabbed Saturday from his
grandmother's house in Brooklyn, was with a foster family after being
handed over by his mom to Administration for Children's Services late
Tuesday night.

"The tot's father, Raphael Spindell, called The News yesterday to deny
his mother-in-law's allegations that he threatened to kill himself and
the boy if cops closed in on his family."

Raphael Spindell is best known to the community as Rev. Raphael
Osiris, or OsirisVamp, and was the founder orf the original Coven
Organization.

Rendier Victim in Drive-By Shooting

Michael Rendier was shot twice in what they are calling a drive by
shooting in New Orleans on the night of September 13th. He is in the
hospital in stable condition. Michael Rendier says, "They were firing
at a kid on a bike and I happened to be sitting behind him." The
intended target, 16, was shot 6 times in his lower extremities, but is
also expected to make it.

Michael Rendier is the founder of House Rendier, and a long-time

6th Annual Eagle's Mere Gathering

The dates for the 6th Annual Eagles Mere Fall gathering are set for
October 28th through November 3rd 2004. It's a week long event, 6
nights/7 days, held at The Lodge in Eagles Mere, Pa.

Eagles Mere, situated high in the beautiful "Endless Mountains" of
northeastern Pennsylvania, was developed in the 1800's as a resort for
wealthy Philadelphians. They came to the mountain for the cool clean
air and crystal clear waters of the mile long lake. Eagles Mere
remains much the same as it did years ago when the pace of life was
more peaceful and less stressful.

The Lodge is a beautiful three-story log cabin that offers rustic
comfort for forty guests. It's accommodations include 9 bedrooms, 4
full bathrooms/2 half baths, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry
room. The lodge also offers a large hot tub that will seat eight
comfortably, a pool table, ping-pong table and television with VCR and
DVD player. All sleeping arrangements are dormitory style.

You will find open discussions on Meditation, Shielding, Feeding
Techniques and Safety issues at this years gathering. Tarot Card and
Runic readings will be available with "How To" classes being offered
on both. There will be walking tours of both the lake and the village,
where you can visit the local shops. And nightly visits to local
cemeteries in search of spirits. A Dragon's Egg hunt is planned for
Saturday afternoon followed by A Masquerade ball Saturday evening. Our
greatly anticipated "Scavenger Hunt" will be played Early Sunday
afternoon. More activities to be announced....

The cost of this year's fall gathering will be $185 per person and
covers your lodging, food and drink for the entire week or however
many day/nights you care to attend. The "Deadline" to reserve a spot
is September 15th 2004. And $200 after this date and at the door.

This shit makes me mad.

On April 11, 2004, Father Sebastian wrote in vampyres [
http://www.livejournal.com/community/vampyres/ ] (Live Journal community):
"First and formost I would like to personally congradulate our new
community spokesperson and "posterboy" Don Henrie in from San Diego".
I didn't write this, and I didn't make it up.

Sometime in approximately April or May, I wrote here on my site [
http://www.sanguinarius.org/vampire.shtml ]:
...something about Father Sebastian declaring D** H***** (I won't
mention him by name, as he seems to not want me to mention him by
name, though it is relevant and necessary here) to be the spokesperson
and posterboy for the vamp community, and how Father Sebastian didn't
have that authority to make such decisions and declarations for the
whole vampire community.

On Friday, June 18th, 2004, Father Sebastian wrote in his Live Journal
[ http://www.livejournal.com/users/fathersebastian/ ]:
"It has come to my concern that is that various people stating that
Don is the head of the OSV which as far as I checked he is not, nor a
spokesperson for the Ordo Strigoi Vii (www.strigoivii.org),
VampyreAlmanac.com and the entire vamp community." Technically, as a
whole, this sentence is correct; it is however, still a denial of what
was said by him earlier.

On September 3, 2004, Father Sebastian wrote me in an email:
(Re: the statement I had here on my site): "You did alot of damage and
divided many people. We have a special list of enemies of the
community. Sylvere, Sara Dorance and Ralph from the old Coven are two
we believe causes people who cause division and conflict. They are on
this list."

I am intelligent enough to infer the implication that I have been
classified as an "Enemy of the Community", or am on the verge of being
so if I do or say things that make certain people look bad. So,
striving to avoid being designated as such, I shall myself say
nothing. This way, nobody can possibly become angry at me for anything
(unless it is for not saying something when I should have!).

Still, the accusation that I have done wrong, created strife and
divided the community, and the veiled implication that I am an enemy
of the community, when I only repeated what was true, kind of makes me
feel like I'm getting my chain yanked. I don't like that. It pisses me
off. I will get screamed at because I wrote this on my website, rather
than taking it up privately in private email with the person(s)
concerned, where nobody can see it and know what's going on, and
everything can be quietly swept under the rug and denied later that
anything ever happened, etc., etc. *Sangi can hear the scratching of
the pen as her name is inscribed upon that wonderful and mysterious
"Enemies of the Community" shit list*

Oh, I am willing to work with Father Sebastian and make peace, so long
as this kind of shit doesn't go on -- and it has gone on since, oh,
1999 or so, in varying degrees. I'm sick of the revisionism that is so
constant. I wouldn't be a "Problem" to him if he didn't do or say one
thing at one time and then do or say something else later as though
that's the way things have been all along. I'm sick of it. The Memory
Hole has a bottom, and I lurk there. ...ferreting away interesting
bits and pieces of information as they get tossed down the Memory Hole
and allegedly cease to exist anymore. In 1984, Winston ultimately
threw away the article he had. I snagged that, too, before it caught
fire and burned away to nothing. People 50 years from now will thank
me. Or not. Who knows? Who cares? I have my little nest...

If there's a problem here, then maybe someone ELSE needs to get with
the program, not I.

Now excuse me, I have to go get my bolts tightened. :> And as for
being an enemy of the community, I'll let you decide.

SITE UPDATES:

I redesigned the page layout slightly, adding a column on the right
side of the page in order to pull sponsors' ads out of the Navigation
Menu and place them in a separate column. It may take a bit of
getting used to, but I think it looks better that way, and plus it
doesn't overload the Navigation Menu column.

I re-added the FastCounter to my pages. As it turns out, it worked all
along, but a site blocker program I had installed was blocking the
BCentral site and not telling me, and I thought the site was defunct. :/

I switched out the "freefind" search box in favor of Google's search
box. Now, visitors can search either Sanguinarius.org or the web for
what they are looking for. As in the regular Google, you can use
search terms or a phrase, and make sure you spell stuff correctly or
you won't find what you're looking for.

Added new material to Problems Vampires Have (

The cutoff date for sending items to be included in the next edition
is two (2) days before the end of the month. Unless it is a special
announcement meant for immediate release (please say so). If you're
