worked. I have been working on restoring these and getting them to

#Sanguinarius IRC Chat

Live, realtime chat and support for real vampires. Topics focus on
real vampires, support and real vampirism but also include discussion
of paranormal and esoteric subjects.

The chat applet has been updated and now connects to the right
network. Also, the login at the bottom of each page also is
functional again and connects to the right network -- dal.net.

As a side note, some of you may have attempted to connect in the past
few months via the chat applet and been booted from #Sanguinarius (on
foreverchat.net) because the channel has been banned for spamming.
That is a direct result of a power struggle between the founder (me)
and the IRCops and Admins of the ForeverChat Network. Sanguinarius
does not spam and did not spam in that instance, either.

What happened was this: When dal.net was having major server
problems, I relocated #Sanguinarius onto foreverchat.net so that
people could continue to come in and chat. I'd heard and kept
hearing stories about Admins and IRCops on foreverchat overstepping
their authority and admin capabilities, so when dalnet became stable
enough again, I decided to move #Sanguinarius back to it's original
and rightful location on dal.net. Well, I put a notice in the topic
line announcing the move back, and that guests should connect via
dal.net, and proceeded to get the dal.net #Sanguinarius channel back
in order once more. One of the Foreverchat admins who hung out in
#Sanguinarius decided to throw her weight around and immediately
demanded that I change my topic line and remove the notice. I
declined, as I felt was my right as channel founder. After all, it
was not as if I were spamming other channels with the information; it
was my channel, and it was an acceptable and reasonable notification.

The admin became forceful, and I saw the need to immediately close my
channel on Foreverchat.net and move everybody over to its location on
dal.net (rather than shifting people over there gradually). So I
closed the channel down immediately by removing all the ops from the
Ops lists, telling the guests they needed to move over to
#Sanguinarius on dal.net, booted everybody out and set #Sanguinarius
to Moderated and Invite-Only, so that nobody could enter
#Sanguinarius on Foreverchat except for me.

All was fine and dandy and people moved over to #Sanguinarius on
dal.net. A few days later, I began hearing about people trying to
enter into the Foreverchat.net #Sanguinarius and getting booted with
the message that the channel had been closed for spamming. (What in
the world?) Nobody should have been able to enter the channel at
that point at all. So why were guests suddenly able to enter in
order to get booted? Because someone (either an FC Admin or IRCop
had, in essence, hacked into my already closed-down channel on FC and
reopened it just to let people be able to enter it so they could get
booted with the announcement that the channel had been closed for
spamming.

I'd already closed down the channel due to Admin and IRCop authority
abuses. So why did they feel it necessary to open it back up just so
they could boot people out upon entry and tell them it had been
closed due to spamming? Why? To make me look bad. Crap like that
is what made me move back over to dal.net in the first place.

Not yet back online (but I'm working on it) are:

I've found a script that has more functionality than the old one I
was using, but I still need to install it.

and I can only do so much in a day, but I'm making progress.
