We help facilitate informational resources for grassroots nonprofit organizations that envision an engaged community of empowered and aware individuals enjoying sustainable living through both community interdependence and self-reliance. Dedicated to sustainable resource use and community vitality, we promote sustainable agriculture, “smart growth” planning and transportation alternatives, renewable energy and conservation, environmental quality, and community self-reliance. We want to give people an opportunity to keep up a correspondence discussing some of the most critical problems facing us and to stimulate people's best thinking on questions of developing new ideas and new approaches to the difficult but vital task of creative social and economic change.
