I started this group because I'm having a very difficult time meeting other women sailors in this area. I started out sailing with a bunch of guys, but recently got married and now sailing with them has been kind of strange.

Are you a woman who likes to sail? Do you have a hard time convincing your husband to go sailing with you? Do you want to learn something more substantial about sailing than how to man the jib. Do you like being skipper more than you like being the bow bitch or winch wench? Join the club!

This list is meant to bring women from the all over the world together so that we can form local sailing groups, without having to pay money to a membership. I know there are women's sailing clubs out there, but frankly I didn't feel like paying money to find out if it was worth it to join or not. This Yahoo group is free. You're welcome to take advantage of it to network.
