Sathya Sai Baba to participate in Rudra Yagam in city in Jan
Chennai, Dec 19. (PTI): Sri Sathya Sai Baba will participate in the 'Athi Rudra Maha Yagnam', for 'goodness and world peace', scheduled to take place here for 12 days from January 19.
The Yagnam, organised by the Sai Youth of Tamil Nadu, will be performed by 140 'Ritviks' (those qualified to perform the yagnam) in 11 'homa kundams'.
A Sai Youth release said here on Monday that the 'Mahayagam' would commence from January 19 afternoon and from the second day onwards Rudram chanting and 'homams'
would be conducted by the Ritviks. 'Linga abhisekam' would also take place on the same day.
Thousands of Sai Youths trained at various 'Sai Samithis' for the last two months would join the Ritviks in chanting 'Rudras' (matras praising Lord Shiva), the release said.
