Kanti Parshuram, Rishikesh, has given a Vow to Shri Bhagawan Sathya Sai Baba in order to help Swami in His divine mission. He has offered Swami a MAHAYAGYA to take place on 23rd November 2005, Swami’s 80th Birthday. This was accepted by Bhagawan Himself. MAHAYAGYA is a sacred auspicious ritual conducted by a divine incarnation in order to receive the Grace of Our Lord.
For this MAHAYAGYA SAI devotees all over the world are now reciting in groups or individually in their homes the Mantra OM NAMO BHAGAVATE SAI NATHAYE 800 million times in two years.
The last MAHAYAGYA took place some 5500 years ago during Krishna’s time under the oldest son of the Pandavas, Yudhishtira. 1.2 million years ago Vasishtha, the great Sage and Guru of Rama conducted a MAHAYAGYA with Rama.
The initiative activity in the form of a letter comes from the Sri Sai Baba Super Spirituality Hospital Trust signed by Kanti Parshuram Guruji, devoted Desciple of Bhagawan Shri Sathya Sai Baba. The Ashram in Rishikesh has been built in 2000 with the blessings of Bhagawan.
This MAHAYAGYA is the answer to the questions bothering all true devotees of Bhagawan Baba, "What can WE devotees do to lessen the burden for Mother Earth, what can WE devotees do for World Peace? How can WE help BABA in His Mission?“
It is therefore a great blessing that Guruji in Rishikesh will let us have part in His divine Mission for Bhagawan Baba: a MAHAYAGYA for World Peace offered to Swami to achieve God’s Grace! Maybe at a later stage we will be able to realize the goodness it will have brought about for Mother Earth and for mankind – and also for ourselves.
Shri Kanti Parshuram's Personal explanations about the merits of the Mantra OM NAMO BHAGAVATE SAI NATHAYE:

* gives double merit, since we are doing Japam for Seva, good for humanity
* helps unfold the own spiritual capacity
* helps overcoming the six demons anger, greed, desires, ego, lust and jealousy

In order to reach the total of 800 million mantras by November 23rd 2005 it will take many devotees of Bhagavan to join in this mantra recital. The recital of OM NAMO BHAGAVATE SAI NATHAYE started on January 11th 2004, Ganesh Chaturdi, in Rishikesh, Himalaya, Uttaranchal. That leaves 22 months = 36.363.600 Mantras per one month = 1.212.100 Mantras per each day. One Mala has 108 pearls for each Mantra. Hence 11.200 Malas of the Mantra OM NAMO BHAGAVATE SAI NATHAYE are required to be prayed as a total every day by the devotees of Bhagawan.
Personally I take my Japa Mala and pray during the day as many Malas which are possible, during my morning sadhanas and following evening prayers, or waiting in a queue somewhere. I have a little note and pencil with me to write down how many Malas I have done to make a total each day and enter it into the list to be sent to Rishikesh in order that they can keep track of the numbers of Malas done worldwide. Devotees from Europe, Asia and Australia are already joining in great numbers.

OM SRI GANESHAYE NAMAH-MAHAYAGYA-FOR WORLD PEACE
Earth is unable to bear the weight of the sins committed by human beings. In Kalyuga. the righteousness is supposed to be 25% but in 5100years of Kalyuga, it has gone down to 7%. Many negative energies are engulfing all the countries.
To reduce the effect of all these and the negative energy produced by human beings, we need to create more positive and spiritual energy, which can thwart the effect of negative energy.
With the blessings of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, we have decided to create this positive energy for world peace by constant recitation of Mantra “ OM NAMO BHAGAVATE SAI NATHAYE” 800 million times in two years terminating into MAHAYAGYA on 23rd November,2005 at Rishikesh.
The constant Jap will be conducted in the Ashram as also the devotees can do japam in their respective houses. The devotees who wish to participate in the MAHAYAGYA should fill in the attached form and send to RISHIKESH. They should also send monthly report indicating the number of Japam done so that we can monitor progress of Japam.
We should encourage even children to join this MAHAYAGYA. The report should be sent by E-mail, Fax or Post.
