Welcome to one of the oldest Stay At Home Mom discussion lists-- started in 1998. Our mission is to help, encourage, and teach sahms of all ages and places in life. Different parenting methods welcome - ezzo/babywise, AP, baby whisperer, To Train up a Child, etc.

Stay at home Moms ( SAHM ) face a unique challenge. We are doing what we feel is right for our families, but many times others "get it". The list was started so women could gather and talk about some of the challenges that we face and also discuss everyday life as seen through the eyes of a SAHM. Discussions range from coupons, Flylady, Flybabies, pregnancy, parenting, teenagers, cloth diapers, slings aka babywearing, infants, marriages, gardening, homeschooling, home school, small business, home business, crafts (many crochet, quilt, scrapbook & digital scrapbook, rubber stamp, embroider, etc) and how to be frugal and budget. Once a Month cooking (OAMC) is also discussed. The list is obviously made up of mainly SAHMs. Some of the mothers on the list are SAHMs-to-be and haven't had their little ones yet. Others are mothers who are trying to find a way to SAH and make ends meet. This is not a list to bash WOHMs or anyone else. The list also has a "one strike" policy - any flaming attacks or rudeness will not be tolerated. We all have enough work to do with teaching our children manners :)
