More than 30 local, national, and international groups listed.
With SAHD's (Stay At Home Dad's) becoming a more familiar sight on the playgrounds, many groups have been forming to help with the exchange of tips, share frustrations, arrange play dates, share jokes, or just vent.
This site is intended to be a common resource for SAHD's to find others to communicate with on a local, national, and even international level, not to be yet another general topic discussion forum, or to be in competition with any other site. Our goal is dedicated to the listing, creating, and encouraging communication between SAHD groups.
Look under the "links" tab for the listings. If you join a group and don't like it, try another; each has different members which gives each a different tone.
Other excellent places to look for groups are:
* www.seattledads.org/groups.aspx
* www.rebeldad.com
* www.athomedad.com (click on the Playgroup list)
If you cannot find a group in your area, you can list your contact information and general location; perhaps there are other SAHD's in your area that are also looking.
Over the last few years "Blogs" have increased greatly in popularity. There are many created by SAHD’s, but I do not personally follow/read any, so I will not recommend any in particular, however some of the sites referenced above and in the "links" area do have SAHD specific blogs listed. If nothing else you may find some comfort in the daily thoughts of another guy working through the various challenges of being a sahd.
We welcome your constructive input and suggestions on how to help the SAHD community thrive. While we hope to provide current and valid information, please let us know of any invalid (or improper) links that you may come across while using the resources contained within this forum.
Due to persistent spam, you may experience a delay in new memberships.
