Safe Takoma (formerly the Takoma Old Town Safety Committee) is a coalition of local citizens, businesses, and community representatives working to prevent crime and improve pedestrian safety in the vicinity of the Takoma Metro station.

The committee hopes to build strong support for safety measures on both sides of the district line -- Takoma, DC and Takoma Park, MD -- including the development of a C-SAFE type initiative for the area.
