The Circle of the Sacred Hearth is a private, family-oriented gathering of Kitchen Witches in Southeast Michigan, Metro Detroit area dedicated to providing a supportive for our members and our families. Our members are expected to have have strong family values, cherish children and be willing to practice spirituality in a drug, alcohol and smoke-free, gender neutral environment.

The Circle of the Sacred Hearth is an all-path group that does not adhere to any specific dogma though we follow a Druidic ritual schedule and honor the Gods of the ancient Greek Pantheon celebrating the seasons according to the Persephone cycle of descent and ascension. (It wasn't planned that way, that's just how it happened) We do this cooperatively incorporating the beliefs of all as best we can.

We are here not to indoctrinate each others' children but to support each other and our families' spiritual growth. We believe that children should find their own spiritual path and we as parents should guide, but not push them along that path.

In keeping with these beliefs, we will support each other by gathering together for the Sabbats, for Blessingways, Infant Naming Ceremonies, Adulthood Ceremonies, Cronings and other Rites of Passage in an environment that is safe and welcoming for children and adults.

We try to meet once a month, and on special occasions, including Sabbats, occasional Moms & Dads Nights Out and field trips. Our gatherings often include cooking and crafting projects in true Kitchen Witch fashion. Prospective members must be approved by the existing membership and should be prepared to participate fully by attending monthly meetings, pitching in for materials and snacks and assisting with projects and events.
