American Indian History and Culture at ASU
A joint project between Arizona State University and H-NET, H-AmIndian includes an edited discussion list for scholars, academicians, and Native people to consider the history, culture, ideas and events relating to indigenous peoples from the North Pole to Mexico. This project has two web sites: this one, which includes materials generated by the ASU participants, and one housed at H-NET, which include the materials generated on the H-AmIndian listserv.

American Indian Studies Program

Anpo Luta Lakota Land in France
Back in 1989, Thierry Cintas, a frenchman, contacted Didier Dupont, who is chairman of the French-Lakota society.This group promotes cultural exchange activities, and Cintas had decided to dedicate some of his land in southern France to the Lakota (Sioux) people. Dupont worked for 2 years on the project,combining efforts with Native americans

MY YAHOO GROUP - SACRED CIRCLE was founded in 1997 by the student of UW-Parkside, a 4 year UW System institution in Kenosha, WI. The name SACRED CIRCLE was given to this organization by a UW-Parkside student from the Sioux Nation on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. In the fall of 2002, it was agreed upon that "American Indian and Indigenous Peoples' Student Organization" would be added to the founding name for the sake of clarification. SACRED CIRCLE purpose is to honor the cultures of American Indian and indigenous people through recognizing, encouraging, supporting, and promoting those activities that exemplify this organization’s purpose.

All too many chose suicide as their only alternative, but those who endured through shorn of their hair and stripped of their dignity were never shorn of their spiritualism or stripped of their pride. They are our mothers and fathers. It is a monument to their gifts to humanity. Native Americans are much more than a sum of gifts. They are more than squash and tomatoes, corn and beans and potatoes, pumpkins and peanuts, and all the medicines derived from plants that began as Indian lore and are now used to save lives around the world. Their supreme gift to the world, in my view, even surpasses the treasures you will see in this beautiful building. We function as a liaison between, and offer a support system for, GLBT students, faculty and staff. We serve to educate the student body, as well as the University community. Timber Wolf Preservation Society
Jim Rieder has worked 32 years with wolves and has spent almost a quarter of a million dollars of his own funds to pursue this avocation because of his conviction that so much more should be learned and done. When he no longer was able to personally finance this undertaking, the Timber Wolf Preservation Society, Inc. was formed in August 1979. The society is a state chartered, non-profit corporation with about 800 members throughout the United States and other countries. It's operation and policy is established by a group of volunteer officers and directors.
