The purpose of this group is to bring together people of all Paths, Faiths, Religions to promote better understanding of each other in order to positively insure the rights of each of us to to follow our beliefs openly, freely, legally.

It is also the intent of this group to find ways to actively protect our freedom to follow the beliefs of our personal choice. No one should have to hide their beliefs/lifestyle for fear of reprisal from others,loss of employment, social ostracism.

The group is to be an information and contact link for those who may need support and assistance, that go beyond this forum, in order to protect our right to religious and personal freedom.

This list will not tolerate attacks on others as each of us has the right to follow the Path/Faith/Religion that we choose. That does not mean that respectful discusion is not allowed or discouraged. Through discussion and questioning we will learn from each other in order to achieve true freedom of religion for all!

I have chosen the name Sacred Centre for this group for two reasons. The first is that I am a Celt and Celtic Spirituality is about Sacred Centres. Whether these are the center of self, the centre of the home, the centre of the the tribe, the center of the land or the center of the world. The second is that the centre represents, to me, a coming together, a meeting of minds, ideas, ideals in order that we better understand each other and are able to work together in unity.

The Kiakra was chosen as the logo for the group as it is one of the oldest spiritual symbols found in the world. Inscriptions of Kiakras some from 10,000 years in the past have been found all over Europe and Asia. The Kiakra also represents union, realization, wholeness. All of these are among the aims of this group.
