As our name suggests, Sacramento Atheists and Independent Thinkers' Alliance (SAITA) is a loose-knit group of independent thinkers. Most of us are atheists as well as freethinkers. A few are agnostic. We're all non-religious and share a dis-belief in Theism. We value the importance of rational, critical, independent thought. SAITA offers a chance to socialize and share with other freethinkers in a low-key, informal atmosphere.

Our group is local to Sacramento, California. We have occasional gatherings and social events. The gatherings are mostly free-form conversation with an occasional arranged topic. Our social events have included picnics, hikes, bike rides, barbecues, movie nights, Rivercats games... whatever someone wants to organize. There are other atheist-humanist organizations in the area which might also interest you, and you will find them mentioned in our Links page.

You are welcome to join our group and share your thoughts in our forum and mailing list, and then join us in person when the real fun happens.
