South Asian Action and Advocacy Collective (SAAAC) brings together activists, lawyers, students, artists, and others working toward progressive social change. SAAAC engages the law to empower the South Asian community, and supports community organizing efforts to achieve political, economic and social justice. SAAAC is dedicated to ending discrimination and inequality such as that based on race, class, gender, caste, sexual identity, religion, ethnicity, nationality, immigration status, family status, occupation, disability or age. SAAAC pledges to work with vulnerable and under-represented segments of our community, and is committed to increasing understanding of the law in the South Asian community. SAAAC also aims to build connections with progressive political and social movements across the South Asian diaspora. SAAAC carries out these aims through community education, organizing, coalition-building, legal and grassroots advocacy, and technical support.
