The search launched the career of new singers, notably, the grand prize winner Sarah Geronimo who now top-bills as an ABS-CBN talent, Mark Bautista (1st Runner up) who is now one of the top selling artists of Viva Records and Mau Marcelo who later on became the winner of the first season of Philippine Idol. * Search For A Star * ( 2003-2004 ) GMA-7 A Philippine television show featuring a year-long talent search for the best Filipino amateur singers. It was broadcasted every Saturday evening on GMA, The Kapuso Network. The format is loosely patterned on American Idol. The search launched the careers of new singers, notably grand prize winner Rachelle Ann Go who now top-bills several TV shows and has received platinum album awards. * Pinoy Pop Superstar * ( 2004- ) GMA-7 Check it out- Raul Mitra, Reg's musical director is seen and her best buddy Jaya is there on the show as one of the judges!
