Description

An increasingly important factor in post-Soviet affairs, Russian nationalism remains an understudied topic in such disciplines as comparative politics, international relations or contemporary history as well as a relatively minor theme in cultural and area studies.

This site is designed as a forum of exchange and an open archive serving researchers, journalists and others interested in the history and current permutations of Russian right-wing thought and politics. While everybody is invited to join, this forum is reserved for the spread of substantive, analytical information as well as for the announcement of relevant conferences, publications, and other academic projects. This is not a discussion group.

Please, have a a look on the freely accessible "Links" section, on the left, where you will find dozens of relevant texts, lists, references and documents. There are numerous further relevant documents not available on the WWW saved in the "Files" section that is, however, only accessible to Group members.

You are invited to add relevant texts to the "Links" section. For doing so, you will have to join the Group and create a Yahoo Account. Place your additions into the appropriate folder, and follow the format of the previous contributions.

We publish a biweekly news digest "Russian Nationalism Bulletin" (RNB) that has started to appear on 1 November 2007. Previous issues of RNB are accessible in the Messages archive. In order to see a truncated RNB issue's full text, click the small, blue line "Expand Messages," at the end of the text. Then the entire message will appear.

If you are a doctoral or more advanced researcher, please, consider joining this network:
