Sterling's note: I am in favor of all of the following, because I would
like to see more votes come in for the first official version of the
platform/declaration of principles. However, I will understand if the guild
votes against this, as it does set a messy precedent. Remember, we can
always vote for revisions to the platform later on, after this first
official version is established. This vote doesn't set it in stone. In
fact one of the provisions of the platform is that it will ever be under
improvement.

During the two weeks surrounding the Christmas Holiday Season, from December
19 and ending January 2, special considerations should be made to allow
straggling votes to be counted. Late votes should be counted so long as
they arrive either (1) before the tally is announced or (2) within 48 hours
of the end of the voting period, whichever comes first. Otherwise, the
established voting deadline will apply.

Shall this apply retroactively to a late vote cast by Doug Schell on Dec. 19
on the Platform? (If his vote is included, then the outcome of the vote
will change, approving several planks that would have failed otherwise.)
