My group at Wachovia has an opening for a senior reporting analyst.
Responsibilities: Builds reporting solutions for groups throughout
Global Markets and Investment Banking Operations, using Excel,
Access, VBA, SQL and other tools. Analyzes internal customers' needs
and recommends, develops and maintains solutions to meet those
needs. Builds and maintains databases, queries and reports for users
in Operations. Performs ad hoc reporting for various product areas.
Plans and implements initiatives to improve data quality in systems
used across the organization and to improve efficiency in
Operations. Works with others to group to develop process
improvement solutions by aligning process strategy, prioritizing
improvement ideas, conducting analysis, and leading process
improvement efforts.
Requirements: Solid MS Access, MS Excel and SQL skills are an
absolute requirement for this position. Candidates should have
knowledge of complex functions in Excel, the integration of MS Office
products. The ideal candidate should be an effective communicator
with strong initiative. Exposure to VBA and SQL needed. Experience
in the banking industry is a preferred but not required. A
mathematical or finance background is preferred. A four year degree
is required. Strong preference for candidates with Six Sigma and
Lean Six Sigma experience.
