This is the place to talk about mechanics, genre, style, and any other aspect of role playing game creation for both PBEM and face-to-face gaming.

... IIRC the DC system was a little too grainy on the low end -- wasn't a normal human all 2's, where Superman was something like 50? 1-6 for the normal human

Your initial numeric system reminds me of the old DC system, where the attributes were Log2-based, or something like that. The next level was twice the power
