I know it's hard for people to admit that they have been deceived. It is especially difficult for "learned" individuals, who think of themselves beyond being fooled.

But institutions of higher learning are perhaps the best means of propagating a myth because we place faith in their academic pursuit of truth. Nevertheless, our learning institutions and educators have fooled most Americans into buying into the Roosevelt Myth.
