This group is for announcing activities of the Rocket City Bears in Huntsville, Alabama. It may also contain other announcements of general interest to the gay and bear communities. It is NOT for picture exchange or for personals/profile hook-ups. General chit-chat and forwarded chain/joke emails are not allowed.

Anyone may join this group who wishes to remain informed of our activities. However, due to our bylaws and some of the events we participate in, you must be 21 years of age or older to join. Please provide your age in the comments to the moderator when you subscribe.

All messages are approved by the moderators to prevent spam, flame wars, viruses, and to insure that all posts are on-topic. Therefore, it may take a few days for your post to appear. We have two monthly activities. On the first Sunday, we meet at 6PM for dinner at a different restaurant in Huntsville or surrounding areas. Our second activity is a bar night at Vieux Carré on the second Saturday at 8PM. The Vieux Carré is located at 1204 Posey Street, just southwest of the University Drive and Memorial Parkway intersection.

We also schedule other events throughout the year, such cookouts, movie nights, bear runs, camping trips, pool parties, holiday parties, and more.
