Dogs barking on Caroline Street   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #962 of 998 |
Just an FYI to all interested parties.  I work at the Appellate Division Law Library.  On the nights I work till 8pm, as I'm walking home, I use a route that takes me past the intersection of South Avenue @ Caroline St.

I have heard the dogs barking on numerous occasions.  I have even heard them as far away as South Clinton Street and Caroline.  I have even heard the dogs barking in the ABVI-Goodwill parking lot - that's of course when I can hear anything over the noise emanating from a house in that stretch of Caroline where a band or drummer is practicing (I pity those neighbors).

Just the facts.  I doubt anyone, in assessing a noise issue, can surmise the impact from the milieu of noises that may occur in one visit to any said location.

And I can tell you that recently when I moved from one street in the South Wedge to another, though an enviable property location was available on Caroline Street, I chose not to consider the location, specifically based on the barking dogs.  So, the barking dogs has an economic impact.

Just the facts.

Carolee,

I will attend the hearing.

Why do you think there is a hearing? Because the dogs bark all the time including last night!

You are really letting me down. The dogs are barking right now!

You sy: "Your address is over a block away." Again, people trying to make me think I do not hear what I hear!  Precisely beause I am ABOVE the buildings, I do hear them more because there is nothing to block the sound. I do not like the implication that I do not hear what I hr!

The dogs owners break the law every day for 8 years and you do nothing. The dogs must be removed. Simple!

I do not think you should be re-elected. You are not enforcing the laws that help the quality of life in Rochester.

Harry,

I have had numerous contacts with Animal Control re: your complaints. I have visited the site, (heard no dogs) and spoke to the adjacent neighbors who told me the dogs were not a problem. Animal Control has told me that they have not received complaints from neighbors adjacent to the property. Your address is over a block away. As I suggested to you last week you may want to attend the hearing scheduled for 7/29 with your documentation of the violations.

12:30 AM Saturday and all I hear is 2 dogs barking.
