Description

Creative and economical computerizing of your telescope mount!

The primary focus of this group is the creative and inexpensive retrofit of Meade Autostar GOTO control to the popular Vixen GP-style mounts, which includes the Vixen SP, SP-DX, GP, GP-E and GP-DX, the Celestron CG-5, Synta EQ-4, EQ-5, Jinghua HD, Orion Skyview Pro and others. Big fork and GEM mounts are popular retrofit projects too.

In fact we welcome creative GOTO projects of any kind. We all want to learn!

Please, no flames, spam, politics or religion wanted here. Solicitations to join other groups need to be pre-approved by the group moderators.

Everyone is encouraged to ask or answer any question in this Forum. And there are no stupid questions! If you have a question or are having a problem, please ask.

Don't forget to check out the group's Files, Photos and Links sections. There's a goldmine of goodies there!

Selling stuff here is okay as long as you post your real name and city/country.

Everyone should start with this document:
