July's Monthly Meeting/Program
Productive Landscapes
Joshua Galloway of Community Housing Partners
5:30 pm, July 21, 2009: Christiansburg, VA

Successful landscaping is about more than meets the eye. Find out why
landscaping is a critical component of a high performance building from a
distinguished local expert, Joshua Galloway, who holds degrees in Fine Arts,
Landscape Architecture and Architecture. Please, see the attached
announcement for more information.

Connect the Dots:
A Greenprint for Your Home
August 1, 2009
2-6 pm at the Taubman Museum, Roanoke, VA

This town hall event is for anyone interested in making homes more valuable,
more energy efficient, healthier and less expensive to maintain. This is the
first of many Connect the Dots events to give regional building owners a
'map' for upgrading building performance.

Each event will focus on a different sector of the building community:
homes, businesses, schools, neighborhoods and healthcare facilities. We have
enthusiastic interest from the local media and we have partnered with other
local and national organizations to make this event possible, including: The
National Resources Defense Council, Habitat for Humanity, AIA Blue Ridge,
Roanoke Valley Cool Cities Coalition, Tap into Hope Roanoke, the City of
Roanoke and EarthCraft Virginia.

Seating is limited and by reservation only. Tickets/reservations for the
event are $25.00 (members and seniors are eligible for a 10% discount).
Reserve online at www.usgbcswva.org.
