This list is for the discussion of US and Canadian highways and roads and the history behind them. Roadtrip reports, trivia, and other topics regarding geography, roads and highway travel are welcome. Occasional thread drift is usually tolerated. but keep it to the fun side of roads.

A couple membership items:

All members must be approved by the Moderator. This will require an message from the prospective member regarding your membership. We need to verify that you have a real email account, and that you intend on discussing the topic at hand. These procedures are needed to prevent spam attacks and other nonsense.

Once accepted members will agree to remain more or less on topic and will refrain from commercial ads. New members may be "Moderated" for a while to be sure that they are in tune with the list. Send a message to the list owner if you are still moderated and wish not to be.

The moderators will not usually otherwise screen messages from accepted members but retain the right to stop threads as they get off topic or remove users that abuse privileges.

To assist those members who read the list via the web page members please do not use "No Archive" functions on email programs so that all posts appear on the web page.
