Greetings Konsconscious Kommunity
My name is Sistar Myra Ashera El, Founder and High Priestess of The Shrine of Ma’at International http://www.theshrineofmaat.com/. I would like to thank the leadership at Rise Up magazine for giving me the opportunity to share some of my thoughts and insights with its readership. I hope and pray that these words reach the hearts and minds of all who read these pages.
I also feel that during these turbulent changing times we all need to follow suit and do exactly what said name of this publication suggest: “RISE UP”. Especially, we as chromatin dominant men and woman. Those of us whom possess knowledge of self have already come to the realization that we have been charged with the duty and responsibility of restoring equanimity back to planet earth, particularly during these times of great chaos. Now, in order to accomplish this mission we must have full restoration of our ancestral memories, recollection of the knowledge of our ancient sciences, reclamation of our historical achievements, and the courage to reestablish our ancient system of Ma’at (Justice).
We are now at the turning point in history when the absences of the above
criterion is the catalyst for the destruction of civilization as we know. We are witnessing the decay of government, the collapse of our economy, the decadence of our political structure, the malfunction of our educational system, the demineralization of our food, the breakdown and commercialization of our health care system, the despondency of our societal structure, and the corporatization of man for profit. Consequently, the very fabric and essence of life is being destroyed because the “laws of man” now defies the “laws of God and nature”. Throughout history when this delicate balance between Gods laws and mans law collides we can anticipate anarchy. This once great nation is slowing becoming the world’s capital of sorrow. However, it is also an opportunity for collective change, a konscious paradigm shift, and time for a REAL New World Order, one that is predicated on the principals of Ma’at which is: Truth, Justice, Balance, Harmony, Reciprocity, and Righteousness. For failure to do so at this juncture in time and space will certainly contribute to our collective demise as a species.
Now you may ask why or how does this heavy responsibility fall at our feet as chromatin dominant people?
1) To whom much is given much is required.
2) As the oldest people on planet earth and having the most experience on the wheel of karma we have a duty to share our knowledge, wisdom and evolutionary progression with our younger offspring’s within the human family.
The first step toward peace is to realize that you yourself are the creator and benefactor of peace. You have a responsibility to change the unsustainable direction of current civilization, and you have the power to change the direction of humanity toward peace.

Testiomony of My Tranistion by Pastor Ray Hagins (Feb.-March 2007)
Maat-Hotep (Peace) Brothers Sisters,
In 1987 I was invited to a meeting of Black community leaders for the purpose of collaborating on ways to economically empower our community. Before the meeting started, I overheard one of the brothers say, "We need to get this European Jesus out of the minds of our people, and realize that the original Christ was named Horus." I stepped to this brother and said, "What do you mean Jesus' name was Horace?" (I thought he was saying H-O-R-A-C-E.) He responded, "The first virgin-born, Christ-child was Horus of Egypt and the story of his birth dates back to over 6,000 years B.C." At this point I said, "Brothers, I am sorry to have to leave, but ANYBODY who refuses to accept who Jesus is, is of the devil. I rebuke all of you in the name of Jesus and I plead the blood of Jesus in this place." Now, I said this because I honestly felt that I was in the midst of satanic agents. I felt that it was my "sacred duty" to defend the gospel of Jesus Christ and warn as many people as I could about these Black men (who I sincerely mis-perceived as) agents of the devil
In March of 1991, four years later, I went into a used book store called Bazaar Books. I picked up a book entitled, "Osiris The Egyptian Resurrection" (Part 1) by E.A. Wallis Budge. The idea of an Egyptian "RESURRECTION" caught my attention. I opened the front cover to the preface and came across the following words:
"The central figure of the ancient Egyptian Religion was Osiris, and the chief fundamentals of his cult were the BELIEF IN HIS DIVINITY, DEATH, RESURRECTION, and absolute control of the destinies of the bodies and souls of men. The central point of each Osirian's Religion was his HOPE OF RESURRECTION IN A TRANSFORMED BODY AND OF IMMORTALITY, WHICH COULD ONLY BE REALIZED BY HIM THROUGH THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF OSIRIS.
I literally shouted out, "WHAT?" I knew that this was EXACTLY what I had believed since I was a child and had preached for almost 20 years, but the central figure of MY belief and message was a man called "Jesus Christ." What really bothered me was, according to what I had been taught, Jesus Christ was the ONLY person about whom such a message applied. Then when I read that this belief system had been with the Nile Valley Afrikans for at least 15 thousand years…I really lost it!!! I wanted to know more. The more I researched, the more I realized that the entire program that I had been indoctrinated into was a LIE.
In 1993, I decided to leave the ministry because I simply could not stand in front of people any longer and teach what I had found to be a stolen, copied, plagiarized and fabricated version of the ancient concepts of Afrikan spirituality. This was the most painful period of my life because not only was my entire belief system being disintegrated, but my friends and loved ones abandoned me as an "anti-Christ." I spent the next five years in intense research and acquiring a proper foundation in right knowledge. I efficaciously returned to the pulpit in February of 1998, when I became the pastor of Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church (now known as The Afrikan Village) in St. Louis, Missouri.
My reason for sharing this testimony is NOT to "convert" anyone to African consciousness…but simply to let Afrikans know that since the European invasion and theft of our people from our Motherland, we have been born and raised in the LIE of European Religious and Cultural Imperialism and we think we are walking in the truth because the LIE is all that we know!
We were not taught HOW to think! Instead, from a very early age, we were told WHAT to think. And as we grew older we didn’t stop to challenge the LIES that became our "faith." Well, if we are to ever be free, we MUST remove ourselves from the program of spiritual and psychological enslavement that was given to us by Euro-Gentile slave oppressors. We must NEVER forget that those who enslaved us never meant for us to be free. Please, THINK, brothers and sisters! Those who enslaved us didn’t mean us any good. Therefore, it only stands to reason that the belief system (i.e., Christianity) that they gave us is not for our good either!
