Dear Friends of FFF,

Some exciting news for this weekend!

Sheldon Richman, author of our newest book "Tethered
Citizens: Time to Repeal the Welfare State," has
been invited to participate in a panel discussion on
welfare reform on NPR this SUNDAY night (March 10).
The program will be targeting the African-American
community, enabling us to expand our libertarian
outreach to African-Americans all over the country.
It promises to be a lively event, especially given
that the panel will undoubtedly include ardent
defenders of the paternalistic welfare state who
have never before encountered Sheldon Richman's
persuasive arguments on how the welfare state has
been so destructive to African-Americans (and lots
of other people) and why welfare-state programs
should be repealed, not reformed.
