The main theme of WiH is that “Society’s Commonly Accepted Model” of spiritual reality is just what its acronym implies: a SCAM. Life after death is just as much a part of the natural world as life before death. Some ordinary human spirits, labeled “Theocrats” in the book, pose as gods, angels, or other supernatural beings in order to control and exploit other disembodied spirits and living people for their own purposes. Most people still consider both of these ideas literally “unthinkable”, so promotions for WiH usually include: “This book is not for everyone. WiH was primarily written for people who are already making a conscious effort to open their minds on this subject.”
