Steve is a member of Glasgow Shettleston branch of the SSP, and has been active in the general election campaign handing out thousands of leaflets in the name of the Revolutionary Platform of the SSP (with the front page of his manifesto, on the subject of Iraq, on the back). Note that Steve originally intended to stand in Manchester Withington constituency in the general election, as a Greater Manchester Democratic Socialist Alliance candidate, but failed to get nominated in time. However, that turned out better, because it enabled him to concentrate on campaigning for the SSP in Glasgow, and his manifestos (which you can read or download by clicking here) are useful to hand out during and after the election campaign to argue for a world socialist revolution.

Steve originally intended to set up the Revolutionary Platform with a meeting in Glasgow during the election campaign, but that was not practicable. If you want to suggest where we go from here, feel free to contribute to this discussion forum.

Steve is working with other socialists in England to set up a Democratic Socialist Alliance (DSA), and is promoting the idea of a Revolutionary Platform of the DSA.
