Excellent work Steve!! They are beautiful! How can one choose???
One little itty bitty question for you and everyone - do we want to have religious symbols? I'm worried that by using the "Top 5" religious symbols people might think that we are only concerned with the pursuit of learning about those 5 and nothing more. What about those students who follow the path of a Rasta? Or believe in the power of a Loa or Orisha? (And you just might be surprised to learn that there are a pretty fair amount of students on campus who do!) Or who are into Native American Spirituality? Or who feel that a symbol takes away from the true meaning/power of a religion? Or who may have been raised in one of those traditions and is put-off by it's symbol and is hoping to learn about other Paths? Will they still want to come and check our group out??? See what I'm saying?
So Steve, is there anyway you can come up with a crest without the symbols? (And I TOTALLY understand you cussing me out right now! ; - ))) If I were you I would be too!!! ; - ) You've put so much work and energy into this already - I truly honor and respect all the thought and work you've done so far!)
What if we just went with a blank book? It could symbolize the fact that we - humans in general- are always learning, always writing a new page in the World and in History? (Or at least I hope so.) You know, a symbol of all that is still to be learned. What do you think? Can we see a mock up?
Thanks again for all your energy in this!
Love and Light,
Regina
