Information about training and using the internet for communication, especially by refugees, refugee organisations, community organisations and media training organisations offering support for refugees in the UK. We particularly welcome refugee journalists, leaders of community groups and organisations, editors of newsletters, broadcasters, business people and anyone who is using the internet to improve the situation of refugees and asylum seekers in the UK and elsewhere.

Topics for posts and discussion: a) training opportunities, methods and sharing of best practise in web communications and online journalism, b) networking between refugees, journalists and support organisations who are using the internet for communications in their field.

The group was established by the members of Refugees Online, a website production training course and network for refugees organised by UNHCR in 2000. The group is moderated.
