Vehicles are considered 'Deadly Weapons'. This past week, in St Louis, MO a
carjacked vehicle traveling at speeds reaching 100 m.p.h. < 110 m.p.h. on City
streets slammed into a vehicle being drived by a 24 year old father. The
carjacker, a 19 year old was charged with: MURDER. The Automotive manufacture,
Oldsmobile, whom designed that excessive speed capability into that car should
be also charged as an accessory to that crime. The excessive speed capability;
increase in the velocity of the mass of the car, substancally increased it's
leathality transforming it from a passenger vehicle into an uncontrollable
missile with the ability of a weapon to kill. This is just 1 incident. 1000s of
High Speed crashes occur every year. Yet just as each of these manslaughter
machines are destroyed, replacements are rolling off the assembly line with the
manufactures full knowledge of the hazzard, danger and threat they pose as
Leathal Weapons to the Driving Public. That's knowledge aforethought. That's
Criminal intent. That's accessory to a Crime in progress which begins just as
soon as 1 of those Manslaughter Machines is driven off the Dealers lot.
