So before anyone asks why I put this group in the occult section of the religion and belief category, let me note that one of my interests in this group is going beyond beliefs to experience. That is generally known as mysticism, metaphysics, or "practical spirituality."

However, the particular thing about "the red pill" is that it is about experiencing what may have been obscured or hidden. Of course, that is not very distinct from mysticism or metaphysics, but here is the detail.

Astrology has been a major influence not just in the lives of a few wise men who were inspired to visit Bethlehem one winter, but in mine. So, while you won't see much about astrology, I put this group in "occult" because I know the origin of the word occult.

That origin is not secret, but unless you're an astronomer, I wouldn't expect you to know that occult means hidden. When one object passes between two others (one being an observer), this is called an occulting or occultation. Solar and lunar eclipses are the most obvious examples of this.

This group, to me is about exposing the realities that are covered by beliefs... dis-covering or un-covering them. That's all. If you are willing to sacrifice your beliefs rather than compromise your experience, then come and see the everyday occult, the common miracles, and maybe even some stuff that most every four year-old knows, but relatively few forty-year olds accept.
