Originally established in 1998, The Real-Vampires Community Alliance is the Internet's oldest support group for vampires, donors, and our friends. If you've been searching for a sense of community or somewhere to relax and be yourself without feeling like a sideshow freak, you've come to the right place.

The RVCA is a society where men and women living with vampirism and their families and friends join with others to build emotional and social support. The RVCA is a place for men and women of all ages to share their hopes, fears, wisdom and information. Our mission is to create a global network for the benefit of vampires and donors, guiding them towards happier, healthier, and more productive lives.

Whatever your reasons for joining, we welcome you but we expect you to be your real self. Leave your "vampire persona" at the door. We are not role players. We seek to combat mainstream society's prejudice and discrimination by dispelling the myths and misconceptions surrounding our community. While you may use an alias to protect your identity, claims of immortality, shapeshifting, or other fictional abilities are not welcome.

Flaming is neither off-limits nor is it encouraged. We understand that everyone has bad days so strong language is accepted. Verbal abuse of other members is not.

Posting is not mandatory. However, this is a support group and educational resource, so all members are strongly encouraged to take part in discussions. This means that mail volume can be high. If this is an issue, Digest and Web Only options are available to help control mail.
