thank you for giving us a 303K down load that we didn't really want.

surely it would have been easier to upload it to the files page of the
egroups so if any one did want it they could have d-loaded it themselves
instead of subject everyone to a large down load ....

I'm looking for info on how to take a Radius P100 UHF portable down
into the ham bands. The radios I have are 450-460 split. Batlabs
info says that the codeplug files are in ASCII, but when I opened one
up, I found that's not the case. I'd really like to use these units
as linking radios if I can find a way to get the frequencies
programmed.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi

I worked in a shop that sold Ritron, I didn't keep programming info and don't remember how we did it. I can tell you the RPM mobiles can be programmed threw the PTT button. The RPM 050-M covers 30-38 MHz the RPM 050-N covers 38-50 MHz, the RPM 150 covers 138-174 (any 15 MHz) RPM 450 covers 450-470 MHz.

Hope this helps

Hello. I think this question has been posted recently. Your question is
like asking if you can carry a piano in your Ford. Is it a car or a truck,
a big truck or a little truck? What we need is the model number and even
the start of the S/N. I don't know of any 'low band' Ritrons, but that is
not to say that they never did or did not make any. I owned a two-way
radio business for over 30 years and would not even work on them. The
quality was very poor and the factory was no help either. They could not
fix them. Don't put too much money in one of them. I won't have your
answer, but maybe my thoughts will elicit a response from someone else for
you. Larry W9HTK

Dan,

There is a jumper inside the radio which allows for programming
directly to the radio EEPROM via cable and pc software, or the EEPROM
can be removed. Also this jumper controls the availabilty for the
control head to download the frequencies to the EEPROM. Also you MUST
have a downloading cable (from control head to the radio).

I can help you out more if you send an email to me. I do have the
manuals for this radio, and I have the EEPROM programmer, and
software.
