Hi everybody,
Can someone please send me a codefile of a Kenwood TK349E UHF
Handheld?
Preferrably one with 5tvo and CTSS (encode/decode) examples.
Check out http://www.scanweb.8m.com en click on "ScanSoft" for my
collection of programming software.
If you send me an excellent codefile, I'll send you a programme you
want from my collection.
Thanks,
Marcel

I have ran into problems also from time to time.
If PC is not in"pure"DOSmode it will usually not read or read
partially.Other than that I have a Compaq Presario with a Celeron 600 Mhx
that I now use(Thanks to Mother M's new Windows software) it works Ok after
manually powering the USB to serial adapter as the unit has not a single
serial or parallel port only USB.
Good Luck

I need to reprogram a couple of these repeaters. I don't have the
slightest idea on what I need to do it or even where I can get it at?
The mobile radios that make up these repeaters are SMU2599's. That is
what the guy has told me. I have heard of some sort of programmer for
these or I could use a PC Kit to do it. But I have no idea where to
get them at and what software these radios take. Any help would be
greatly appreciated!
Thanks

I have two sets of radios from kenwood, Tk 630/730 and a 690 and 890.
I cannot program either of these from my pc's. I have a P3 450 and an
AMD duron 900 processor. All the radios will do is, if they start to
read the radio, they stop after no more than 12% of the data
transfer. Some people have said some PC's just won't do these radios.
Any suggestions?

Hi All,
I have a Kenwood TK 830 UHF mobile radio with the full featured alpha numeric head.
Is it possible to program this radio to allow the user to change the PL of a particular channel from the front of the radio?
I have looked at the software and cannot see an option, but thought I would ask.
I have version 2.5 of the programming software.
THANKS

The CDM1550-LS does NOT do MDC in conventional mode only in trunking.
I just the way it is.

I now have the software for the HX241 but still need the cable or a schematic of the cable to program this radio, any and all assistance would be appreciated.

Great source for batteries and such, have cheap, but good speaker
mics for several units.

I'm having some program problems and thought I'd throw this out there and see if anyone had any additional input.
The radios are a Tk-790 and a Tk-890 with the dual band / dual control head setup (Each radio has a control head and the two radios are tied together with an additional cable to access both radios with the front and rear control heads).
I'm adapting my mobile kenwood program cable to these radios and have landed the ground on pin 5 and have tried the data Rx and Tx separately and together on pin 6.
The best I can get is the radio to show -PC- on the control head with one of the individual data leads landed (I forgot which it is now, but think RX)on pin 6, but the software eventually gives a "No response" error and the radio goes to "Error" as well, requiring a restart of the radio. I tried landing the other data lead on nearly all the pins (except SWB and the N/C pins)and still get both errors above. All other configurations I have tried, including landing both TX/RX together on pin 6 result in an immediate communication error.
Any ideas out there? Can anyone tell me if I need to separate the radios and program them individually or should it work with them set up as dual band. To gain access to them is a giant pain and I want to avoid separating them if possible.
Thanks for your help.
