I'm having a problem programming a P1225 radio. The battery is good and I'm
using the ribless cable. Does the battery eliminator have to be hooked to the
radio or can I use the regular battery? This one won't seem to read for some
reason.
Can anyone tell me what the current RSS is for this radio? I may be using an
outdated version of the software and that might be part of my problem.

Thanks

Dakota Summerhawk

Hi all,

UPS just dropped off a new VHF GP388 I ordered last week from Motorola,
I notice the side connector pin layout is the same as for GP3x0 radios,
but with smaller pads and shorter pad-to-pad distance. Could anyone
confirm that the programming cable for this radio uses the same pin
numbers as its bigger brother?

A side cover similar to the one I used to make my cheapo programming
lead came with this one, so I'll most likely follow the same procedure.

Best regards,

Mike

hello with all.

am in the search of IPPxxx software for the programming of MR1116
which would make it possible to go down to 144 MHz.
Currently I have the IPP-B0601s software.
The frequency minimum is limited to 146mhz.
Thank you by advance.

Patrice / France.

Yah, I thought I had gotten an email from the

I will forward this directly to the moderator for an

your looking for" or "please write me off list for the RSS", gee,
that to me indicates you are going to distribute copyrighted software.

This isn't a "Radio Club". This is a Yahoo Group.

No, you certainly aren't a Federal Officer of the United States
Federal Government. You pretended to be one in an e-mail to me, when
you pretended to be Bruce Campbell, "HOMELAND SECURITY/ANTI-TERRIORIST UNIT.
WHITE-HOUSE." ? Sound familiar? I would think a DHS Agent would know
how to spell TERRORIST.
I archived the e-mail at http://www.espphotography.com/fakedhs.txt

Homeland Security for them to investigate. They take impersonating a
federal officer VERY seriously.

Dear Chief:

Learn to look at the headers of e-mails. You will then not need to
reply to the group telling people to e-mail you off the group.

I have no problem with "Native American Indians." I do however have a
problem with people who pretend to be members of a "Federal
Government" and state that they were given this software by MY
government (remember, I'm a "THE WHITE MAN", and therefore we have a
different government) and then the Native American Indian Government
gives away this software for free.

When it comes to someone having software from the UNITED STATES
GOVERNMENT, I don't care who you are or what color you are, this
software should not be given away.

And if anyone knows what branch of the government to report this fool
to for giving away COPYRIGHTED SOFTWARE, all the while claiming to be
a FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, please let me know.

I've already reported him to Homeland Security for impersonating a
federal officer, and to the REAL Powhatan Tribe.

Thanks, I'll take that as a complement !!
Up here, it's item #7 on the kids back to school required supplies list. Red
or white is acceptable.
It's also on the list of exempted items that can be sold on stat holidays
(like today) along with milk, egss, bread, and gas.

Happy Canada Day !!

Hmm.. I'd ask if it's appropriate for a "Federal Government" to be
giving away copyrighted software which was given to him by the US
Government, but I'm afraid Chief Hassatt will report me to the CIA or the
NSA.

You may want to try radios4sale@yahoogroups.com if you don't get any
results here. That group is more catered for buy / sell.

Guys
I am looking for a remote head kit for the TK-940 / TK-840 series radios.
I know they were not a standard Kenwood issue but I remember seeing them at
one of the IWCE shows many years ago and.
I have a special application that would be very sweet if I can find one.
Anybody know where they are still being sold?
Please advise.

Jim
