Description
This group is for those Muslims who many call Ahl-al-Quran, Quranies or Quranists and for those who want to learn what we are really about. We believe that the only inspiration given to Muhammad(Godblessandsavehim) was the Quran and that the only authority Muhammad has is through the Quran. Understanding this we strive to understand the Quran more thoroughly through analyzing it and the language that it was written in, not pre-concieved notions or opinions about it. The founder of this forum has learned in his Quranic path that the Hadeeth are rumor and should be dealt with as such, that the Quran was written in a now archaic human language. Although alot of its words and grammar may be archaic its messages are timeless. Arabic is not one language it is split up into eras: 1.Old, Pre-islamic Classical Arabic, 2.Old, Islamic Classical Arabic, 3.Colloquial Arabic Dialects(creoles), and 4.Modern Standard Arabic(a reduced version of Classical Arabic with modern vocabulary). The Quran is written in the language of the first era, which is almost identical to the second era except for the meanings that entered the language after the Quran and can not apply to Arabic before Muhammad. Ramadan is the season of heat for any locality, a month is 30 days, a year is 12 months plus an extra 5 day week and the solstices, being the signs of daylight that the Quran refers to as means to count the year, are the points to be referenced to for counting the years. There are 4 inviolable(haraam implies fulfillments not to be broken/violated) months. Ramadan is one of them and the other 3 are the months of pilgrimage, to be agreed upon, with the guidance of the Quran, promoted and practiced according to the Quran; as a rite for the purpose of recognizing, honoring and getting to know those who share in our religion and to CELEBRATE God in all His glory. As for prayer, kneel or bow, and pray atleast twice; dawn and dusk. Welcome to the Quran!
