Punch-drunk from nonstop TrashMasters editing, the screenwriter
wannabe in me sees a storyline combining the discussion of QB couples
with recent exchanges that could be genuine dislike, but just might be
the dipping of cyberpigtails in the electronic inkwell. So with
advance apologies to all concerned:

Dateline: June 2007 -- The quizbowl community turned out in force for
the wedding ceremony of Georgia Tech grad student Stephen Webb and his
bride, the mysterious qbtunagirl. Their well-publicized relationship
had a choppy start, but soon they became chums, and before long they
were both hooked.

However, many well-wishers were disappointed that qbtunagirl chose to
remain veiled rather than reveal her true identity. One unnamed
source called the decision "chicken of the she." A dramatic touch was
added when the bride was walked down the aisle by a surprise celebrity
guest, ESPN commentator and former NFL coach Bill Parcells.

After a honeymoon that includes a stay in Cannes followed by a brief
dip into Ireland's County Mayo, presumably with relish, the couple
will reside in the Sandwich Islands.

There's only one way to close this post....

Sorry,

Charlie
