Welcome to Quilts for Older Children and Adults. We are an all volunteer group making counted cross stitch quilts - at no cost to the recipient - for children and adults age 18 or older with terminal illnesses, lifelong illnesses or disabilites. We accept quilt requests from anywhere in the world.

The group was founded in April 2006 by a few volunteers who realized that there are many older teens and adults who would love to have a quilt of their own. Unfortunately there were no groups for people age 19 and older to receive these quilts from and that is when Quilts For Older Children and Adults went from becoming a dream to a reality.

The group consists of dedicated volunteers worldwide who share their love of counted cross stitch to make quilts - free of charge - for older children and adults. We also stitch squares to help groups (for children, teens and senior ctitizens) with their supply of emergency quilt squares and stitch items to help no-kill animal shelters with their fundraising.

Each quilt recipient has a theme that they (or their parents/guardians) have picked. The quilt consists of at least 18 squares and have been stitched and quilted with love.
