This group is dedicated to experimenting with legal unlicensed radio electronics. This covers both part 15 and part 95 services. everything from longwave to microwave. discussions covering legal grey area's are not encouraged but will be tolerated. discussing outright illegal activities however will not be tolerating. this includes modifying 10 meters to CB, bulding CB linears, modifying CB for illegal out of band frequencies or power levels or modulation schemes. an example of a legal grey area is this topic which recently got moderated on a repeater group. asking about using maxtracs on MURS at 2 watts and putting a stationmaster as the antenna and solar powering the whole rig on a mountain top using ptp wifi/roip as a wireless link. it got moderated. a question like that here will not be. I am not some armchair lawyer with a heavy hand who's going to moderate the crap out of everything. I will as stated earlier moderate outright discussions of illegal activities or subjects that stray from radio electronics with politics being the biggie. please pass the info on this group around. it was the moderation of my example question above on another group that made me decide to start a more friendly group to discuss legal unlicensed radio topics.
