Puget Sound Beachcruising is our online beachcruising campsite. Longtime friends all, we gather 'round this online campfire to plan for upcoming trips, discuss boating safety, navigation, fishing, and post pics of our action packed trips. We all prefer having our wives, girlfriends, moms/dads etc. along to share the fun, so this is a place for them too; online AND as our valued first mates. Most members belong to other clubs in the public domain, this group just happens to be our personal place.
USING THE BOATS:
Our emphasis here is on using our boats as our magic carpets to take us to the wonderful islands and beaches here around the Sound. Any year, make, model of glass/wood/metal/inflatable is welcome, sailboats too.
SAFE Boating:
We do promote responsible boating here in WA State, and at WA State Parks. All of us will soon have tested for our official WA State Boaters Safety Card. A testament that we as a group enjoy learning and applying new boating skills. All skippers will have the card, and have agreed to have it within 90 days upon accepting invitation. Furthermore, some of us have taken Seamanship and other courses with the US Power Squadron or Coast Guard Auxiliary. All of us should own Chapman's or equivalent.
Safe boating is an attitude which we cultivate here.
BEACHCRUISING with Camping, & DAYCRUISING:
We enjoy daycruising but especially enjoy overnighting on beaches and islands here. Cooking percolator coffee and fish we've caught (yet to happen!) is a dream come true.
