Description
Puget-ish is a group of folks in the Puget Sound region who have been changed by the ideas of Daniel Quinn. We use this e-group to coordinate meetings, share information, and for support and inspiration. Our group is open and accommodating. Decisions are made in the spirit of consensus.
Stepping outside the system can feel lonely at first, so we encourage new members to post as soon as they join, to introduce themselves and ask questions. Although at times this list may appear inactive, many of us are very active in the ongoing process of moving beyond civilization, which of course primarily occurs off-line, in the real world. So let us know you're out there, we're always interested in meeting people who want more out of life than civilization offers.

The Files section of this website contains useful resources, including idea lists, book recommendations, pamphlets, and flyers. Check out the Links section, too. And here's a short list of other websites of interest:
http://www.ishmael.org -- Quinn's website, includes many of his speeches, interviews, and presentations.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/newtribalrevolution/ -- the Links section has a lot of great information, from animism to unschooling.
http://www.friendsofishmael.org -- good resource for spreading the influence of Quinn's ideas.
http://readishmael.com -- geared towards persuading people to read Ishmael.
Daniel Quinn wrote Ishmael, a book that has profoundly affected millions of people around the world. Other books include The Story of B, My Ishmael, Beyond Civilization, and The Holy.
