Description

This list has moved to a new location: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/psytra/

Helping-professionals, academics, and others with interest in the Psychology of atypical Gender come together for scholarly discussion and exchange of information. Common topics include: requests for client referrals, calls for participation in studies, references to on-line articles, and intense debate of controversial topics such as the psychopathological model of transsexuality. A special hope for this group is to bring together members of the transgender and psychological communities in intense but amicable discussion. When discussion becomes 'hot', the list owner will temporarily moderate posts to insure theoretical debates do not become overly personal. The American Psychological Association’s Division 44 founded this list on March 21, 2000. You can see the archive of the first two years of posts in an outdated Yahoo group. APA no longer sponsors this resource but membership continues to increase and discussions may continue to flourish.
