I bought a tv from them, and the box had nothing but bricks in it. What a
scam.

Hi,
I can not wait a second to share an exciting thing with you. Last week, I
bought a sony tv from a website and I got it now. Wow, the quality of the tv
is very good and they have excellent after-sale services. They also sell
phones, laptop, desktop,tv,digital camera, motorbikes and so on. All their
products are new and original. They have many good feedback. By the way,
their prices are very competitive.
The website is : <www.buytv.> You can have a look if you are
interested in these products. I am sure you will be very satisfied.
Regards!

On the 92 "classic" it will work - because it isn't USING the steps. It's
using sub-audible tones to identify the talk group. On the A and B firmware
updates, it won't trunk-track at all.
Yes it will trunk track as long as all of the voice frequencies fit the format
of 8xx.xxx5 MHz.

I don't think George 95662 is entirely correct, on my Uniden and GRE/RS
scanners i HAD to enter the rebanding "steps" and my city, Joliet, ILL has
some of both freqys...The 853 freqys would just "flash" and show a bogus
freqy until i entered the rebanding...And, still as i printed on many boards
us scanner folks here cannot get the 346XT to recognize even with the
rebanding steps one freqy=852.7875 in the "Custom Search" of the 346XT for
some unknown to "man " reason..When this freqy is the CC there is no audio,
when any of the other three are CC's its fine..Ron in Joliet

In the case of the PRO-92, as dataman almost said (it uses the
subaudible slow-speed data on the voice channel, not tones), it does not
actually trunk, so it should work fine on any frequency - ending in 0 or 5.
It's only the scanners that trunk that will have issues, and then only
with Motorola P16 trunk systems that have rebanded. All other system
types will not be affected either (other than reprogramming the
frequencies used).

Thanks for the information. I can install and get most applications to work on
a Mac, but am only a user of PCs. I know nothing about installing applications
on them.
I downloaded Bob's OS X application, but could not understand his directions, so
never went any further. It has been some time since writing Bob. He tried to
help me, but my lack of understanding of this sort of stuff got in the way.
For now, I have a Pro 92 and Pro 95 collecting dust as the instructions for them
to be programmed manually are more complex than I can comprehend. I haven't
gotten into this "'press the 'x' key five times while holding down the 'y' key",
sort of thing. There is so much I would like to remove from what is in these
scanners and insert what I would like to be listening to, but I am at an
impasse.
Perhaps it is time to get one of the 'gurus' at our Mac club to do the
installation. If that doesn't work, I will get back to you.
Anyone with a Mac using OS 10.4.11 out there who might be able to help?
Dave
Hmm, I worked with Parness during development of tk92. Some of his testers were
Mac and Lunex users. I used windows 98 for the test and recall all three OS
worked.http: //parnass. com/tk92/ BTW it works with XP also. Bob provides a
link to 92Ware developed by Ken Plotkin located here http://members.
cox.net/kplotkin /scanner. htm , however, don't recall if this works with Mac.

I don't believe so, but I always tend to dig right in.
Good luck.
My 92 takes a while to begin receiving and scanning. On another forum it was
said this was due to oxidation of the connectors between the circuit boards. Are
there disassembly instructions for the 92 where you can get the circuit boards
apart? This would include removing the BNC connector from the case. The service
manual posted on this site is not very detailed as to disassembly, just says
remove 4 case screws and leaves the rest up to your imagination.

said this was due to oxidation of the connectors between the circuit boards. Are
there disassembly instructions for the 92 where you can get the circuit boards
apart? This would include removing the BNC connector from the case. The service
manual posted on this site is not very detailed as to disassembly, just says
remove 4 case screws and leaves the rest up to your imagination.
On Monday, April 13th, 2009 Yahoo! Groups will undergo scheduled maintenance.
During this time your group will be unavailable for 30-60 minutes.
The outage is currently scheduled to begin at 1 pm PT, 8 pm GMT. At this time, ¼
of all Yahoo! Groups will become unavailable while the team services these
groups. Once maintenance is complete on that ¼ of Groups, they will be made
available again, and the next ¼ will become unavailable until all of the groups
have been serviced.
In total the maintenance period should last around 5 hours, with the maintenance
concluding around 6 pm PT, 1 am GMT (April 14).

If the "1.0" is the original version of the PRO-92 (and I think
it is), it should handle a rebanded Mot 800 MHz system just
fine. IIRC, the initial PRO-92 required that you enter all of
the system's frequencies, and did its trunking based on the
low-speed data on voice channels. If that's accurate, it should
not be impacted by rebanding, as long as you enter all of the
"new" frequencies for the system.

You don't. The scanner has been discontinued for quite some time,
and there are no upgrades for it.

I'm going to guess that it will monitor anything it did before, assuming
nothing has been rebanded yet. Will also guess that there won't be
anything in the way of updates for it. Let's face it - it's ancient (I
have one). It's still a decent scanner for non-rebanded freqs.
I have a two BC780's which present the same dilemma. I'd still buy more
of them. Great scanners.
