On the 92 "classic" it will work - because it isn't USING the steps. It's using sub-audible tones to identify the talk group. On the A and B firmware

I don't think George 95662 is entirely correct, on my Uniden and GRE/RS scanners i HAD to enter the rebanding "steps" and my city, Joliet, ILL has some of both
