Could you cope in your own home during major emergencies or even small ones like no power or water or flooding for a few days.
I don't believe I am the only person in the UK who is interested in being prepared for any disaster that can overcome us from unemployment to powercuts and more.
I am no expert and here you will not find involved stuff just the bascis you need to get through.
REMEMBER IF YOU PLAN YOUR STOCKING UP THEN YOU DON'T NEED TO DO ANY PANIC BUYING IF A BAD SITUATION OCCURS, WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT IF EVERYONE DID THIS, CARRIED A STOCK OF FOOD AND THINGS IN.....
I have been into this for over 12 years now and would love to exchange ideas with people over here...this group is not for anyone who wants a place to give out their politicital or religious views....just a place where people can come to to learn and share about being prepared at home and how to cope. Ok I know not if your home blows up or burns down but most other things...not sas type but simple everyday measures like how to store water, what stock to keep etc....
So if you are in the uk - or not - and are interested in coping in your own home through emergencies or outside of it
Please join....I'd love to meet you
Oh yes who am I just a stay at home mum with no militery training or background. Its basically relearning the skills our ancestors used on a daily basis if there is no power available. Today we are to used to everything being available at the flick of a switch or turning on a tap or having a job to keep us well supplied with things, but things can go wrong - power, water, gas can go off, you can lose your job for whatever reason and coping in the short term with this can be very hard so if you have alternative water or power supply ( candles and camping stove in or generator) and a store of food in you can cope till either the power, water, gas comes back on, or benefits come through or whatever other disaster or emergency has passed.
