Description

In this group we will discuss the use of Si570 Programmable PLL from Silicon Labs in amateur radio VFO applications. In particular, we will discuss the AA0ZZ Si570 Daughtercard and Control Board (pictured on the right) designed by Craig, AA0ZZ, and available now from Kanga US (www.kangaus.com). The software to control the Si570 will also be discussed here.

It was the microcontroller that "blow up". I probably did not clean my workspace, so some little bit of a component leg make a shortcircuit. So now it works

Check your voltage regulator. Mine stopped regulating and I was seeing weirdnesses in the display. After a few seconds, it would shut down as the bench

Hi Mayby something happend to microcontroller. LCD goes "on-off" suddenly there was text on row two. Rotating encoder slow brings up frequency to around 25MHz

Hi again Well while testing I probably blown up something. Just unstable 11MHz out. Hope itīs not the Si570. Time to sleep here now, see what tomorow brings!

Hi Craig This is a real mystery! XOR works all the way up in frequency, flip flopīs just to 13-14MHz. I test with a new 74ac74, all th same! Regards Mats
