Hey Bud I have a n.I.B. medium Airflex wing here if you would wish to demo the wing.
Thanks for the offer Sonny, but I'm happy with the Action GT at this point. It could be that the handling is better with the Airflex but I can't imagine enough of a difference that I would buy and sell at this point. Paramania did not see it with the Fusion, but again, I don't really know - just a guess.
Before answering this post, I read the Airflex manual. It reads a lot like the other Paramania manuals, but there is a difference. It is not definitive concerning is it a 'Reflex Wing' as I defined it as Gin does not suggest or recommend how to handle more and more turbulence - active flying vs trim out! Or at least I could not find it. Why is that? I don't know. It could be some kind of marketing in terms of pg pilots, but heck if I really know. I think that there is a 99% chance that Michael or Pascal knows whether this is a Reflex wing as I defined it or not. Do you or do you not let the trim out for more safety? The answer could be that for a very experienced, on top of his game, active flying pilot, letting the trim out vs trim in actively flying is a toss up. If so, that is not the case with the Paramania wings, you let the trim out, period.
Interesting.
Bud
If you send me your mail address I will be happy to send it to you for demo. Or you can call me at 713 725 2885 I also have a friend who dives 18 wheels to N.O. all the time I could send it by him.
I alos have a Roadster and I find the wings completely different. As far as I know the AirFlex is full reflex. Has wing tip steering, all instructions are printed on the risers. The only thig I have found is the risers are a little hard to let out, but Chris just met with Gin last week and he said they were working on A new set of risers.

Chris Santacrose sent me this. This is also the comments made by the few who have flown the wing here:
From Chris::: One of the guys flew the Airflex glider you sent Barry yesterday and came back with a big smile on his face. His words....."very sporty". He has an Ozone Roadster but said he liked the Gin more.
Hi Sonny,
Interesting, but it seems to me that more pertinent questions remain.
Is the Airflex a Reflex wing vs. the Roadster and other 'semi' reflex wings? By that I mean only Paramania and Dudek Reflex Wings are such that you Let the Trim Out to increase Safety Without active flying. All other wings you pull the trim in and Active Fly the wing for safety. So what is the Airflex??
IF the Airflex is a Reflex Wing defined above, how does it compare with the other Reflex Wings? - handling, speed, l/d, etc.

Does flying warm and toasty suits you?
This is what i have found.
Flew for a long time with Gerbins electric jacket liner and duel
controller ( controller keeps gloves and jacket at two differnt temps.) and
ele.glove liners.
Yes it was warm, but lots of problems.
With the controller, I went thru one each year ( under warranty }
Short in jacket, in 3 yrs used 20 times ( under warranty),
Jacket did not breath was sweaty all the time!! could not put it on at home!
You had to strip down at flying spot to put on jacket near your skin.
Gerbins old style thin glove liners, worked well but i had to fight with two
thin layers over top ,to make them warm .
( shorted in 3 yrs ) they discontued this product!
The new style Gerbins glove liners not near as flexible, threw them out !
So I started all over!!!
I now have Warm and Safe jacket liner.
It breaths well, no sweating, streaches as well good fit , you can wear it to
the field and set up and fly.
The NEW remote controller has NO WIRES.
a small reciver unit tucks into its pocket in jacket no need to ever remove it
.
The tiny controller mounts on risers or harness anywhere you want,
NO WIRES to connect to it!
Now you can control the gloves warmer
and jacket cooler so easy.
warm breathable and heated calor.
the best gloves for this system
are Gerbins g3 heated motorcycle gloves
wile not as dexterous as the old liners
with the two thin outer layers,
they are thin and dexterous enough
to do every thing you need to do to launch,
except turn on my gps .
So i turn it on pryor to launch.
At 29 degrees i flew for 2+ hrs gloves at just over 1/2 power,
jacket at just under 1/2 power.
Warm and toasty!
This gear will keep you warm to
-1 degrees ( hope i never find out }.
You will need a power source,
a 10 amp battery is good for 3 + hrs.
powering both the jacket and gloves.
You might get by with 5 amps for 2 hrs
at 20 degrees or so.
So now you can fly all winter, no excuses< it is just a matter of good gear
you may have over 10 grand in total gear just sitting their
waiting for it to be warm.
spend 500 or so and fly 1/3 more
Fly warm
Joe Hill,
pagojetjoe
Fly or die trying!
Ps.
No money was given.
i have no part of this company.
This gear was given for my evaluation,
with the understanding i would whatever the out come of my tests
tell the fliers what i found.
Have found the good stuff! Halaluya
Actually we meant the women who are beating. Yes, it happens sometimes: especially Edina Koleszár of Hungary did recently beat quite a number of world records. Although all have been duly recognized as official in female category, it is worth noting that her last claim (mean speed over 100 km closed circuit) represents an absolute world record! Edina brought her Plasma 22 to cover that distance with 54.4 km/h mean speed, thus easily beating previous Michel Carnet's score of 51,9 km/h!
Bearing in mind that recent Polish Emilia Plak's time of 47.90 seconds for clover leaf slalom is barely four seconds worse than current Grzegorz Kry¿anowski record (both done at World Champs in Czech Republic), male PPG pilots should really start looking over their shoulders.
In theory we should wait until Edina's claim will be officially recognized, but since this is her fifth record in a row there is nothing to be waiting for. Gentlemen, get your flying gear together!
Northrepps Aerodrome is under threat. We need you to sign our petition to show your support for the airfield. We also need you to do it pretty quickly as well (within next couple of weeks) There is a petition on www.catchacloud.co.uk
Mine came with trimmers.

Also, the K2, being designed for 'hike and fly' pilots is made from super
lightweight material which is not as durable. Does the K2 come with motor trim?

Sorry, kind sir, I have compared the numbers and they simply do not mesh with

Easy launching is what I am always looking for. How do you compare the launch characteristics to an Eden 3-4? I have kited quite a few gliders in my time trying to find one that comes up as easy as the Edens. I've found a few that are close but nothing seems to be better. I'm always looking for wings that my students can learn to kite with faster. There are a lot of good beginner wings when it comes to safety but not many, if any at all that are a breeze to kite.

It is a nice wing, I fly one and love it. Does about 27mph with the trimmers out (44kmh) Its definitely faster than 46 if you were to use the speedbar but I have not tried that so I cant state that for sure.
Definitely the easier glider I have ever launched and is so forgiving when you don't launch correctly.

I was training a pilot at the beach recently with an Eden 4. Another
instructor's student was working with his K2. Watching them side by side, the
student on the Eden 4 seemed to be having an easier time of it. The Eden 4 is
faster and has a better glide ratio, too. The Eden 4 is incredibly stable, as
well.
Funny how everyone wants to compare their wonderful new glider to the Eden.

when it gets up it builds lift very quickly. You can let off the A's with the

IF YOUR NOT YET VOTING,,, WELL... THEY NEED ALL OUR HELP NOW!!!! SO follow these simple instructions (takes 2 minutes!)
5. PLEASE vote every 24 hours for the next 2 final days for Phuket: Mat and Emi (All you have to do is login and vote!)
6. If you really want to make an impact there is nothing in the rules stopping you to register with several e-mail accounts! (to multiply your voting power). This is what I hear the other competition team is doing, and that is why every time Mat & Emilia pass them they come back again! The competition organizers have said that there is nothing stopping a whole family using one computer to vote several times (that why IP detection cannot be used). So if you can make multiple votes!
GO GO GOOOOOO!!!
THANKSSSSSSS
p.s if you register to vote, you are also entered in the contest to win $2500 USD. And the more times you vote, the better your chances are (you can vote 1x per 24hrs)
And remember we will all benefit from their WIN as they will take us on the ultimate in depth paramotor reality trip of Thailand (via several live internet sites etc)
