Description

In May of 2005, the original Slam the Door message board was deleted by the owners of the group. This was done for two reasons. The couple who ran the group, who we called The Slammos, had been running the message board for five years, and there were over 70,000 messages posted. They were ready to move on to other things. Their message board had been a tremendous asset to ex members of the religious fellowship headed by Wayman O. Mitchell, and in exposing the abusive practices of that organization. Considered to be a religious cult by many people, it goes by the names, The Potter's House, The Door, Victory Chapel, Christian Fellowship Ministries, CFM, Christian Fellowship Church, CFC, and several other names.

The other reason for deleting the Slam the Door message board was due to threats being made by two members of The Potter's House in Australia to trace out the identities of those who were writing on Slam the Door, and who wanted to remain anonymous. One of these men had a criminal background involving internet abuse, and so the threats were taken seriously. At the request of some of the members of Slam the Door, who wanted to remain anonymous, The Slammos deleted the message board, as they had planned to do anyway.

Rumors were spread by these two men in Australia that Slam the Door was a fraud, and although it had nearly a thousand members, there were really only a handful of people posting there, accusing Ken Haining, an ex fellowship pastor, of being practically everyone on the message board. This simply was not true, and it was rather stupid to claim that the 70,000 messages which were posted in five years were the handiwork of just a few people, and that these people had almost 1000 screen names. Such is the desperation of current members of the Wayman O. Mithchell fellowship to stop this religious group from being exposed.

Many of those who opposed Slam the Door back in May of 2005 have now left Wayman O. Mitchell's fellowship.
